Scope & Content This is a collection consists of 780 blueprints pertaining to the construction of the Rankin Hot Metal Bridge by the American Bridge Company. The first blueprints drawn were in 1900 and with additions and repairs to the bridge over the next 81 years, other blueprints were drawn up, thus, the massive amount of blueprints in this collection. Each blueprints is given its own identification number according to the order that they were placed in by the American Bridge Company. The blueprints are divided into groups, designated as 35-1 then 35-A through 35-U and finally the last group is designated as miscellaneous.
