1 letter dated July 17, 1971 from the presidents of Colt Industries Crucible Inc. Stainless Steel and Alloy Divisions to all employees of the Midland, PA complaining of unequal treatment given to Crucible Inc. by the United Steelworkers of America. Attached to the letter is a list of steel companies that had received exemptions from the USWA allowing them to work beyond the end of the contract on August 1, 1970. A strike was anticipated. Crucible Inc. was not on the list even though it was also a specialty steel producer.
